LCA Will Locate On Hwy. 901 Near I-77

A unanimous 7-0 vote on Monday night by Rock Hill's City Council to grant water and sewer connections for Legion Collegiate Academy paves the way for the new public dual enrollment charter high school to possibly locate on an 83-acre tract of property near the corner of Mt. Holly Road (Hwy. 901) and Long Meadow Road near I-77 at exit 73.

Now that water and sewer has been approved for that location, the due diligence process will begin to assess any soil issues that may exist on the property before the land purchase is finalized and work can begin.

The school is scheduled to open next fall at a temporary location. The announcement about the temporary location is expected in the next few days. Ground breaking on the permanent site will take place this spring.

LCA is now taking applications at its Enrollment Center located at 1348 Ebenezer Road, Suite 101. Office hours are Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Application forms are also available by visiting www.legioncollegiateacademy.org.
