College level instructors (part and full time) positions:

Minimum requirement:  Masters in subject areas or Masters in another subject with at least 18 graduate credit hours in subject of vetting subject. Experience teaching at high school or college level preferred.

TITLE:  High School/Dual Enrollment English Instructor

 

Duties:   Create a classroom environment conductive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Teach juniors and seniors college level courses in College English. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the students involved. Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date records as required by law, school policy and administrative regulation. Attend staff meetings, participate in staff in-service training or continuing education, and serve on various staff committees as required. Confer with parents/guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve student behavioral or academic problems. 

 

LOCATION:  Legion Collegiate Academy, 3090 Long Meadow Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732

 

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Secondary Education, English, or a closely related field of study and two (2) years of experience as a Secondary English Teacher or a closely related occupation. Requires a valid South Carolina teaching certificate or eligibility for South Carolina teaching certificate in the appropriate certified area (English). Also requires at least 2 years of experience in the following:

 

  • Selecting and using appropriate training/instructional methods;

  • Monitoring and assessing student performance; and

  • Development of educational programs.

TITLE:   High School/Dual Enrollment Math Instructor

Teach juniors and seniors college level courses in College Mathematics including College Algebra, Precalculus, and Statistics. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the students involved. Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date records as required by law, school policy and administrative regulation. Attend staff meetings, participate in staff in-service training or continuing education, and serve on various staff committees as required. Confer with parents/guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve student behavioral or academic problems. 

High school instructors (part and full time) positions:

Minimum requirement: secondary level and a South Carolina Teacher certification and experience teaching in a school setting preferred or eligible to teach in the following subject areas:
